You have to discover the beautiful blue lagoon of Rangiroa. This place is one of the most beautiful places in French Polinesia. The cristal clear shallow water and the white sands, beautiful whiled nature around makes this lagoon extraordinary.
You can easily find a gyded tour to the blue lagoon for a day.
It will takes about an hour to get there by the boat from the main island, when arrived you will be able to snorkeling with the sharks, walking between small islands, sweeming in the shallow water and take an amazing photos.
Then you can enjoy the local lunch prepered for you by the crew, you will have a local music and a weaving leasons etc. On the way back, it is customary to either go see the dolphins, or go to the aquarium with a mask and snorkel, an equally magical place!

Another « Must to see » place in Rangiroa « The Reef Island ». It is incredibly beautiful place with a very specific landscape. The labirints of the dark corals on the sirface all around, lots of natural pools with irrésistible cristal clear water, you will also find the small wiled islands with the sandy beaches around where you will have your local lunch with the local music prepared by the excursion crew.
After the lunch you can snorkeling, sweeming, walking around and you can learn to weaving with the palmleafs.
On the way back to the main island you may stop to see the dolphins in the pass of Tiputa and have a snorkeling in aquarium.

Take a day trip to « Les Sables Roses ». Wonderful pink sand and the beautiful sea will makes you feel like in the paradise. It will take around two hours to get there by the boat. There you can snorkeling with the rays and the tropical fish, to walk around the beautiful wild nature and to sweem in the cristal clear water of the lagoon.
After that the boat will take you to another small island where you can have the local lunch and to relax under the palmtrees.
Day trip to « Green Lagoon »
The green lagoon is a very nice place to see. It will takes around 5 minutes to get there by the boat from Avatoru village. You can enjoy the beautiful nature with the sandy beaches and the emerald green water. Perfect place for the familys, you can snorkeling, sweeming and have a lunch during your small escape.
Drift snorkeling in Tiputa pass
If you prefer to snorkeling you can still have a look underwater of Tiputa pass. When the sea is calm enough you can have a guided drift snorkeling throug the pass and to see all the underwater life.

Every day the dolphins of Rangiroa comes to play with the waves in Tiputa pass. You can watch the show of the beautiful creatures jumping out of the water from the dolphin view point of Tiputa.
Scuba diving in Tiputa pass
Tiputa pass it is the world famos diving spot. The curents feelds this water with so much life. Every dive will be different there. You can see the dolphins, hummerhead sharks, the big bands of baracuda and plenty of another amazing marine speaces.
Walking on the ocean side beach
Have a walk on the beach by the oceanic reef. You can get to the ocean side by the Hoa (our small pass), when the tide is low you can easily walk in the water and pass under the bridge. You will find a totally different beautiful landscape of Rangiroa.
Visit the « Paul Gauguin » pearl farm (free)
During your visit you will discover how the pearl oysters produce the cultured pearls. The guide will tell you not only about the Tahitian pearl but also about all other pearls & oysters around the world. You will discover the whole production process. You will have the opportunity to attend either the oyster grafting, or the pearl harvest and sometimes both.

Local wine tasting
The Unique winery in the world is located here in Rangiroa! The Domaine de Dominique Auroy is the only winery on a motu in the world. Here you can taste the exceptional white, rose wine and the local rhum.

A beautiful cristal clear water around the docks and the wonderful view. You can see plenty of beautiful tropical fish and even the big sharks. The best time to see the amazing blue colours of the sea is between 10 AM to 2 PM
